Marc Woodcock's Wednesday Wisdom

Woody's Wednesday Wisdom … is a recap of a lesson today on arm run away and getting “loose and bouncing at the top." If you can set the club a bit earlier and get the shaft parallel to the ground at P2 … it will stay more firm at P4 (The top of the swing). All you really need to do is turn your shoulders and let your arms stay on plane. The shoulder turn will dictate the length of your swing.

The arms will stay in-front of your body and you will stay relaxed but firm at the top! It will make you use the ground and initiate the downswing with your lower body and in return pull your arms faster …

It feels different at first for those of you who just lift your arms with no shoulder turn. This is why I like dynamic drills … it will get you to “feel“ and hopefully you can progress to a full swing … with the hopes of taking it to the course … under the gun!
